dc.description.abstractSmartphone is nowadays in the use of the majority of the people. It has different features. It offers power consuming technologies like GPS, 3G, games, apps etc. which creates power management problem faced by the users. In this paper, our contribution is twofold. Firstly, we evaluate different tools and techniques that can be used to optimize the usage of smartphone battery. Secondly, we survey the latest research that has been published in 2010 to 2014 which helps users to find the best technique or tool to achieve energy efficiency in smartphones.en_US
