The trend of the future health care system is patient centred, and patients' involvement is a key to success. ICT will play an important role in enabling and helping patients or citizens to manage and communicate on the individual's health related issues. This includes private and confidential information. Trustworthiness is therefore one of the most vital aspects in such systems. This paper first presents the prototype structure of the health care system, and then discusses questions regarding the trustworthiness of the system. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2014.Citation
