Use of protein profiles to characterise concentration–effect curves of mixtures of estrogenic compounds in human breast cell lines

AbstractThere is considerable speculation as to the risk to human health from xenoestrogens in the environment. There are contradictory data on the shape of the dose–response curve and the appropriate model for dose addition for mixtures of xenoestrogens and/or phytoestrogens. The present study utilises a proteomic approach to address these issues.
