dc.description.abstract | The article discusses a study to address the increase of gun crimes that has brought attention to the socio-cultural predicament of Black young people in Great Britain. A cross-generational study of the experiences of Black people, and their attitudes towards crime and crime control is evaluated. The relationship between the changing nature of Black youth crime and the changing social relations within the Black community. A concern of many Black people is the experience of unjust policing and their involvement with the criminal justice system. The heightened racial tension and unrest resulted in race riots. | |
