Examining reading: research and practice in assessing second language reading
Abstract
The book demonstrates the applicability of this comprehensive test validation framework for reading through an extended case study involving the University of Cambridge Main Suite ESOL reading tests. The authors show how an understanding and analysis of the framework and its components in relation to specific reading tests can assist international high stakes test developers to operationalise their tests more effectively, especially in relation to criterial distinctions across proficiency levels.Citation
